SiC Green Silicon Carbide Powder Abrasive
High carbon silicon metal comes from leftover material of silicon metal producing, a caking at bottom of the furnace. Elemental silicon content is usually between 40-70% and carbon content is 10-25%.
Descrição
Description
Green silicon carbide is a type of silicon carbide (SiC) that is often used in abrasive and cutting applications due to its hardness and durability. It is made by mixing silica sand and petroleum coke, and then adding salt and sawdust to the mixture. The resulting mixture is then heated in a furnace to a temperature of around 2,300°C (4,172°F), which causes the silicon and carbon to react and form silicon carbide.
Green silicon carbide is used in a variety of applications, including grinding wheels, abrasive papers and belts, wire sawing, and refractory and ceramic materials. It is also used in the production of semiconductors and electronic components, as well as in the aerospace, automotive, and medical industries.
